Women interested in becoming a sister in the community are encouraged to visit the Guest House and meet with some of the sisters, before spending at least two weeks living and working with the community.
Those wishing to join the community must be communicant members of their Church (willing to be confirmed in the Anglican Church before Profession in vows), at least 18 years of age and free of commitments which would conflict with the community’s way of life.
If the community and the applicant agree, she then joins the community and becomes a postulant for between 3 months and a year.
There follows a novitiate of 2 to 3 years, after which profession in Temporary Vows is made. After at least 3 years in Temporary Vows, a sister may make vows for life.
There is also provision made for women ‘with a serious interest in the contemplative life’ (with or without the intention of joining the community) to live, pray and work with the community.
